Overview

A renowned full-service hotel in the USA, offering more than 250 bedrooms and extensive event facilities, was experiencing persistent challenges with legionella bacteria in its water systems. The hotel had tried several traditional methods like regular flushing and chemical dosing, but none provided long-term results.

Concerned about the safety of their guests and staff, the hotel sought a reliable and effective solution to resolve this ongoing issue and ensure their water systems met the highest safety standards.

Key Issues

A large prestigious luxury hotel with more than 250 bedrooms, 25 meeting rooms and more then 3,000 sqft of event space was seeing regular, low level, legionella detections. They had been following many traditional methods to ‘cure’ the problem including regular flushing & chemical dosing.

Our Solution

The Sidon Water IntegroTM was installed in the 3rd quarter of 2021. A unit was installed on the cold water main and another on the secondary return of the hot water system.

Summary & Results

The levels of colony forming units (CFUʼs) dropped significantly and no further detections were made over the proceeding 12 months.

Interestingly enough, three months following the installation of the Sidon IntegroTM, the property had its first ever legionella test report indicating no detections.

What the customer had to say?

“Over the years we have tried numerous technologies to help with our hard water problems, magnets, coils, electric diodes, salt softeners and we were apprehensive of the technology due to previous experiences. We were pleasantly surprised by the Sidon IntegroTM. It performed exactly as promised, quicker than expected and made all our teams working days and conditions easier.”
