FAQs
For North & South America manufacturing is based in the USA, and for UK & Europe it is carried out in Scotland. Not only does this allow us to maintain very high local standards, but it reduces our carbon footprint in our supply chain that would be associated with more remote overseas facilities.
Yes. The nature of the electrochemical reaction we create is quite unique, as are the results we achieve. Further information of what makes our technology different can be found here.
This depends on the hard water problems you are trying to resolve. From the moment the Integro™ is installed you will see differences in some areas, such as how soft it feels and the way water interacts with soaps and detergents. If you have descaled existing appliances before installation then you will also immediately see the difference here too as scale build-up will not return. In a badly scaled-up water system the Integro™ will begin to break down the historical build-up straight away. Over the coming months you will see improvements in flow rate, water pressure, reduced energy consumption, etc, as all the old scale build-up is removed.
No. In cold water systems the restructuring effects are long lasting and we have not yet found a system whereby the results decline over the distance water travels. In one case we have a customer operating 69 miles (112km) of irrigation lines from a single Integro™!
Yes. All monthly service plan customers can cancel with 30 days notice at anytime.
In any number of ways, some of these include:
- No more costly water softening equipment.
- Improved efficiency of hot, cold and process water systems.
- Increased lifespan of water systems and equipment.
- Reduction in energy costs associated with hot water systems.
- Reduction in chemical and detergent use.
- Less down time as a result of plant equipment failing.
- Reduction in labour costs for cleaning & maintenance of equipment becoming scaled up.
These are to name but a few.
In every case though we conduct a thorough site survey in order to ascertain the suitability of the Integro™, as well as ensuring that there will be a quantifiable ROI.
The Integro™ naturally conditions the water by injecting a high number of electrons directly into the water with sufficient energy to break up the bonding created between the different elements. The injected electrons and associated energy cause the mineral elements to remain in their ‘single form’ so they stay in solution, regardless of the pressure or temperature, and cannot bond to form crystals which create scale. The key difference between the Integro™ and other ‘water conditioning’ technologies is that there is no forced precipitation of the scale forming minerals.
The effectiveness of the Integro™ is not diminished or increased based upon the specific hardness of the water being used. The results are the same in that the bonding of the minerals is eliminated thereby preventing scale build-up regardless of the hardness of the water.
As well as working in the hardest of water conditions, there are also benefits of use in softer water areas. Soft water does not mean there is no limescale build-up over time, just significantly less. Having an Integro™ fitted will ensure that this does not happen. This can be of particular interest to customers who are looking to control and reduce waterborne bacteria, including Legionella.
No, the Integro™ is a maintenance and chemical free system. As well as not requiring any scheduled maintenance, monthly service plan users benefit from a lifetime warranty.
Yes, the temperature of the water HOT or COLD does not effect the efficiency of the Integro™ unit’s ability to disrupt the ionic bonding of the elements and eliminate scale crystals being formed.
Scale build-up on the surface of the soil forms a barrier and prevents the water from seeping down into the root system of the plants and causes much of the water to remain on the surface where it evaporates before it is able to soak into the ground. Since the water flowing through the Integro™ is free of scale crystals, there is no buildup of scale on the ground surface and the water permeates quickly into the soil, carrying nutrients to the roots effectively.
Yes. Over time existing scale formations in your water system will begin to erode as the minerals attach to the electrons in the water solution and are carried out of the pipe. As well as this you may notice small white deposits in your water, these are scale deposits that have broken away as the Integro™ is working. They are completely harmless and a good indication that your water system is being cleaned up!
The Integro™ can be fitted to any size of inlet pipe. Any pipe two (2) inches or smaller will be fitted with a two (2) inch threaded pipe reduced down to the appropriate size. Any inlet pipe larger than two (2) inches will be flanged. Further information on the product specifications can be found here.
Customers who have purchased the equipment outright will have a 5 year warranty.
A basic check is that the indicator light on the Integro™ control box is on. Beyond this we will identify areas within your water system where you are experiencing problems with hard water, you will be able to see the difference yourself (shower heads, taps, dishwashers, etc). Where the problems are internal and can’t be seen we can look at other ways of measuring that the system is working. In the case of a boiler we may fit a pressure gauge on the inlet in order to track the reduction in pressure as existing scale build-up is removed, and then a steady pressure being maintained thereafter. We can look to take water samples from different points in the water system measuring the levels of TDS’s to ascertain that historical build-up is being broken down, and then again this will level out on an ongoing basis. In all cases we will work with our customers to agree a system of monitoring the effectiveness of the solution.
Yes. The Integro™ restructures the water reducing the surface tension which naturally conditions the water. The water will be “Wetter” which is to say it will be conditioned. The conditioned water will require fewer detergents and softening chemicals to achieve the same desired result.
No, the Integro™ will prevent and remove limescale throughout your water system. However, as we do not remove anything from the water, in open air environments (shower screens, wash compartment of tunnel dishwashers, etc) where water is left to evaporate you may still see evidence of mineral deposits, but these can be easily wiped off without the use of chemicals.
Yes. Since the Integro™ naturally eliminates scale formation, the chemicals typically used to treat cooling towers to prevent scale build-up can be reduced and in many instances eliminated. Also, since the scale build-up is eliminated, there is less area where bacteria can attach and grow, thereby reducing the number of chemicals needed for sterilization.
Yes. Due to the elimination of bonding between the elements, biofilm is basically eliminated which decreases the nutrients required for algae growth. If the algae have nothing to feed upon they will not grow.
Yes. By breaking the hydrogen bonds that exist between water molecules being held together in water clusters, these smaller water droplets are more easily able to pass through membranes and filters, thereby improving operating efficiency and lifespan. As well as this, filters that require backwashing will use less water during this process.
