Sidon Water’s Integro™ Validated by Cranfield University in Reverse Osmosis and Integro Technology Trials

Independent testing confirms the Integro™ delivers major performance gains in reverse osmosis, including lower fouling, higher permeability, and improved water quality.

Edinburgh, UK – September 22, 2025 – Independent laboratory testing at Cranfield University has validated the performance of the Integro™ technology in reverse osmosis (RO) and desalination systems.

The research demonstrated significant improvements when the Integro™ was used as pretreatment:

  • 12% increase in permeability (brackish water)
  • 41% reduction in flux decline (slower fouling, extended membrane life)
  • 30% reduction in seawater fouling
  • Dramatic reduction in chloride and sulphate passage → lower permeate conductivity and improved water quality
  • Estimated £1.22m annual savings at a 100,000 m³/day SWRO scale
“The Cranfield validation confirms what our customers are already experiencing - the Integro™ fundamentally changes the economics of RO and desalination. By reducing fouling and chemical demand, it extends membrane life, cuts operating costs, and improves water quality.”
Chris Rose, Managing Director of Sidon Water

Sidon Water is now expanding pilot projects with global partners to accelerate adoption of the Integro™ in industrial, municipal, and desalination applications.
