Sidon Water’s Integro™ Validated by Cranfield University in Reverse Osmosis and Integro Technology Trials
Independent testing confirms the Integro™ delivers major performance gains in reverse osmosis, including lower fouling, higher permeability, and improved water quality.
Edinburgh, UK – September 22, 2025 – Independent laboratory testing at Cranfield University has validated the performance of the Integro™ technology in reverse osmosis (RO) and desalination systems.
The research demonstrated significant improvements when the Integro™ was used as pretreatment:
- 12% increase in permeability (brackish water)
- 41% reduction in flux decline (slower fouling, extended membrane life)
- 30% reduction in seawater fouling
- Dramatic reduction in chloride and sulphate passage → lower permeate conductivity and improved water quality
- Estimated £1.22m annual savings at a 100,000 m³/day SWRO scale
Sidon Water is now expanding pilot projects with global partners to accelerate adoption of the Integro™ in industrial, municipal, and desalination applications.
