In late 2024, the Tuxpan-2 Combined Cycle Power Plant, located in Veracruz,
Mexico, faced persistent challenges with fouling and maintenance frequency in its seawater treatment process. Specifically, Cartridge Filter “C” in the Seawater Treatment Plant System #2 experienced frequent clogging due to mineral scale build-up, resulting in routine shutdowns for cleaning every six weeks.
