Industry: Gyms & Leisure
Location: David Lloyd Ringwood, Hampshire
Programme Phase: Programme Phase:
Installation Type: Cold water primary & hot water return
Background
David Lloyd Ringwood operates with significant hot water demand across showers, kitchen facilities, and general domestic services. A legacy water softener was found to be faulty and bypassed, leaving the site effectively untreated and exposed to ongoing limescale issues.
Challenge
- Scaling and leakage evident on hot water return pipework
- Showerhead scaling causing frequent maintenance issues
- Imbalanced hot water cylinders and boilers
- Suspected failure of hot water recirculation components
- Increased Legionella risk due to temperature imbalance
Our Solution
Integro™ Solution
A dual-point Integro™ strategy was proposed:
- Integro™ unit on the cold water primary to mitigate limescale across the site
- Integro™ unit on the hot water return to protect cylinders and downstream assets
This approach allows continuous treatment without reliance on salt-based softening systems.
Monitoring & Verification
- Baseline documentation of calorifiers, pipework, and fittings
- Monitoring of cylinder temperatures and system balance
- Showerhead condition checks over a 60–90 day review period
Outcome (Early Stage)
David Lloyd Ringwood presents multiple measurable performance indicators, including system temperature balance, asset condition, and maintenance reduction. The site demonstrates how Integro™ can support both scale control and broader system reliability within complex plant environments.
