KEY BENEFITS OF THE INTEGRO
The Integro is designed to do more than address limescale alone. By conditioning water in-line and influencing the behaviour of hardness minerals, dissolved metals and water molecules, it supports cleaner systems, improved operational efficiency and longer asset life across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
Limescale prevention
Helps prevent the build-up of new hard scale on system surfaces.
Reduction of existing deposits
Supports reduction of existing limescale in many operating systems.
Improved heat transfer
Cleaner exchange surfaces support more efficient thermal performance.
Reduced maintenance burden
Less fouling and scale can mean less manual descaling and less reactive maintenance.
Improved water hygiene
Reduced scale and biofilm supports better water hygiene, including Legionella.
Longer equipment life
Reduced fouling and corrosion pressure help protect critical assets.
Prevention of new limescale. Reduction of existing build-up.
The primary role of the Integro is to help prevent the formation of hard adherent limescale in water systems. By altering ionic activity, it reduces the conditions that normally allow calcium carbonate to attach and build on surfaces.
In systems already affected by scale, the Integro can also support reduction of existing deposits. The rate and extent of this depend on water chemistry, system design, operating profile and the level of historic fouling, but the practical objective is the same: cleaner surfaces, restored performance and less ongoing scale accumulation.
Supporting heat transfer and operational efficiency
Cleaner surfaces support better water hygiene
Scale and fouling do not only affect efficiency. They also create rough, irregular surfaces that can harbour debris and support the persistence of biofilm. In hot water and other closed water systems, this can make effective water hygiene control more difficult.
By reducing scale accumulation and improving surface conditions, the Integro supports a cleaner system environment. This can complement broader water hygiene strategies and assist operators seeking more stable conditions for water hygiene management, including Legionella control, cleaning performance and downstream maintenance.
Reduced fouling pressure on critical assets
Hard water fouling and corrosion often interact. Deposits can create under-deposit corrosion sites, restrict flow, trap contaminants and increase stress on equipment. As scale builds, maintenance becomes more frequent and asset life can be reduced.
The Integro helps address key upstream drivers of that deterioration by reducing hard scale accumulation, supporting cleaner wet-side surfaces and influencing the behaviour of dissolved metals within the water system. This contributes to better protection of plant, lower intervention frequency and improved whole-life performance of water-bearing equipment.
