Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam Zuid-As was facing persistent limescale issues, particularly during the winter months.
Thermostatic taps and showerheads frequently became blocked due to heavy limescale build-up, resulting in recurring faults, guest complaints and increased maintenance demands.
The technical team spent several hours each week descaling and replacing components.
Solution
To effectively prevent limescale formation, several Integro systems were installed in collaboration with Linthorst:
- 1× Integro Type 4 on the main cold-water supply
- 2× Integro Type 2 on the hot-water circulation system
The installation was carried out professionally and seamlessly integrated into the existing plumbing network.
Results After 9 Months
The results were clear and measurable:
- 20 showerheads inspected: completely free of limescale
- Thermostatic taps: no deposits or operational issues detected
- All components clean: no chemical cleaning required
- Significant savings achieved through:

- Resources: no need for descaling agents
