White Paper
Improving Seawater Reverse Osmosis Performance Through Upstream Electrochemical Water Conditioning
This white paper reframes the recent ITC testing campaign into a general technical paper for desalination operators, engineers and technology partners. It focuses on separation performance, transport behaviour, energy implications and the wider operational significance of the results.
See a Preview Below:
Seawater reverse osmosis is the dominant large-scale desalination platform because it delivers potable water with comparatively low energy use relative to thermal alternatives. Even so, SWRO performance remains constrained by concentration polarisation, salt passage, inorganic scaling tendency, fouling progression, membrane ageing and the operational penalties associated with chemical support strategies and cleaning interventions.
